Electronic screen industry on the cleanliness of the clean cloth, abrasion resistance, liquid absorption and other requirements are very high, the choice should focus on the following core elements:
1. Material selection
- Ultra-fine fibre: give priority to 70% polyester + 30% nylon blended material, the fibre diameter is fine (usually ≤ 0.1 denier), can effectively capture tiny dust, and strong liquid absorption, no flakes, suitable for screen cleaning and wiping.
- Avoid natural fibre: such as cotton, easy to drop flakes, poor moisture absorption, may retain impurities, affecting the cleanliness of the screen.
2. Cleanliness level
- According to the cleanliness level of the screen production environment (e.g. Class 10, Class 100) to choose the corresponding level of dust-free cloth, need to reduce fibre shedding through laser edge sealing and other processes, and after rigorous cleaning (e.g. 18MΩ deionised water cleaning) to ensure that there is no residual contaminants (e.g. particles, ions, micro-organisms).
3. Size and Weave
- Size: Choose according to the wiping scene, such as small size (3 x 3 inches) for precision parts, large size (6 x 6 inches) for the overall cleaning of the screen surface.
- Weave:
◦ Plain: flat surface, suitable for general cleaning.
◦ Mesh: breathable, fast liquid absorption, suitable for removing water or oil stains.
4. Edge treatment
- Prefer laser edge sealing or ultrasonic edge sealing to avoid fibre shedding caused by traditional needle and thread edge sealing and to reduce secondary pollution to the screen.
5. Liquid absorption and abrasion resistance
- Dustless cloth is required to have high liquid absorption (can quickly absorb detergent or water), and at the same time have a certain degree of abrasion resistance, and not easy to break and lose hair after repeated wiping.
6. Compliance with industry standards
- Need to comply with the relevant standards of the electronics industry (such as ISO 14644 clean room standards), to ensure that the number of particles of the cloth, the ionic content (such as chlorine, sodium, etc.) to meet the requirements, to avoid corrosion of the screen or affect the display.
