First of all, the definition of gram weight refers to the weight of dust-free cloth per square meter, and the unit is usually grams/square meter (g/m²). When calculating the gram weight of ultrafine dust-free cloth, it is necessary to select representative dust-free cloth samples. Generally, multiple samples are taken from the same batch and different locations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results. After the samples are taken, the samples are weighed using a high-precision balance. The accuracy of the balance must be able to accurately measure small weight differences. The common accuracy is 0.01 grams or higher.
Measuring the sample size is also a key step. Use precise measuring tools, such as steel rulers, calipers, etc., to accurately measure the length and width of the dust-free cloth sample. During the measurement process, pay attention to the location and method of measurement to avoid inaccurate results due to measurement errors. In actual production, in order to ensure the consistency of the gram weight of ultra-fine dust-free cloth, manufacturers will take a series of strict control measures. Starting from the selection of raw materials, the quality and specifications of raw materials such as polyester fiber and nylon fiber are strictly controlled, because raw materials of different batches and qualities will affect the gram weight of the final product. In the production process, the parameters such as the laying thickness, spunlace pressure, and drying temperature of the fiber are accurately controlled. These factors will directly or indirectly affect the gram weight of the dust-free cloth. At the same time, real-time monitoring will be carried out during the production process, and samples will be taken regularly for gram weight testing. Once the gram weight deviation is found to exceed the allowable range, the production parameters will be adjusted immediately to ensure stable product quality.
In addition, the gram weight requirements of ultra-fine dust-free cloths for different purposes are also different. For example, dust-free cloths used to wipe precision electronic components usually require a lower weight, generally between 30-60 g/m2. Such dust-free cloths are thin, soft and delicate, and will not damage precision components; while dust-free cloths used for large-area cleaning and oil absorption may have a higher weight, around 80-120 g/m2, to ensure that they have sufficient adsorption capacity and wear resistance.
The calculation of the weight of ultra-fine dust-free cloths requires rigorous measurement and calculation. At the same time, strict control during the production process and reasonable selection according to different application scenarios are important links to ensure product quality and performance.
